This is the end of the Mitteland at the Rothensee boat lift due to be re-opened after renovation later in the summer. We moor on the empty waiting area overnight ready to go along the aqueduct that spans the River Elbe below the following morning. This was the river that had flooded so badly in the spring but which had now dropped to its normal levels again.
