We move on and find a quiet, rural mooring near Vaucelles lock. It's a bank holiday and the lockkeepers are having the day off too so we pack a picnic and head for the woods.
We've never seen so many wild flowers. We sit down among bluebells, helebores, cowslips and wood anemones and have a perfumed picnic.
