Conflans St Honorine is at the junction of the Oise and the Seine. As with most waterway junctions it is full of commercial boats, many of whom have decided to retire and stay here on their barges. Six abreast for a mile down the river, these ex-bargees are a sad testament to the steady decline of commercial boating in France.
